8 For we would2309 not, brothers,80 have you ignorant50 of our trouble2347 which3588 came1096 to us in Asia,773 that we were pressed916 out of measure,5236 above5228 strength,1411 so5620 that we despaired1820 even2532 of life:2198

9 But we had2192 the sentence610 of death2288 in ourselves,1438 that we should not trust3982 in ourselves,1438 but in God2316 which3588 raises1453 the dead:3498

10 Who delivered4506 us from so5082 great5082 a death,2288 and does deliver:4506 in whom3739 we trust1679 that he will yet2089 deliver4506 us;

14 As also2532 you have acknowledged1922 us in part,3313 that we are your5216 rejoicing,2745 even2509 as you also2532 are our's2257 in the day2250 of the Lord2962 Jesus.2424

15 And in this5026 confidence4006 I was minded1014 to come2064 to you before,4386 that you might have2192 a second1208 benefit;5485

16 And to pass1330 by you into1519 Macedonia,3109 and to come2064 again3825 out of Macedonia3109 to you, and of you to be brought4311 on my way4311 toward1519 Judaea.2449

17 When I therefore3767 was thus5124 minded,1011 did I use5530 lightness?1644 or2228 the things that I purpose,1011 do I purpose1011 according2596 to the flesh,4561 that with me there should be yes3483 yes,3483 and no3756 no?3756

18 But as God2316 is true,4103 our word3056 toward4314 you was not yes3483 and no.3756

19 For the Son5207 of God,2316 Jesus2424 Christ,5547 who3588 was preached2784 among1722 you by us, even by me and Silvanus4610 and Timotheus,5095 was not yes3483 and no,3756 but in him was yes.3483

20 For all3745 the promises1860 of God2316 in him are yes,3483 and in him Amen,281 to the glory1391 of God2316 by us.

21 Now1161 he which establishes950 us with you in Christ,5547 and has anointed5548 us, is God;2316

22 Who3588 has also2532 sealed4972 us, and given1325 the earnest728 of the Spirit4151 in our hearts.2588

23 Moreover1161 I call1941 God2316 for a record3144 on my soul,5590 that to spare5339 you I came2064 not as yet3765 to Corinth.2882

24 Not for that we have dominion2961 over your5216 faith,4102 but are helpers4904 of your5216 joy:5479 for by faith4102 you stand.2476

哥林多後書

第1章

1 奉神旨意作耶穌基督［Jesus Christ］使徒的保羅和我們［our］兄弟提摩太，寫信給在哥林多神的教會，並亞該亞遍處的眾聖徒；

2 願恩典［Grace］、平安從神我們的父和從［from］主耶穌基督歸與你們。

3 願頌讚歸與我們的主耶穌基督的父神，就是發慈悲的父，賜各樣安慰的神。

4 我們在一切患難中，他就安慰我們，叫我們能用神所賜的安慰去安慰那遭各樣患難的人。

5 我們既多受基督的苦楚，就靠基督多得安慰。

6 我們受患難呢，是為叫你們得安慰、得拯救，叫你們能忍受我們所受的那樣苦楚［which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer］；我們得安慰呢，也是為叫你們得安慰、得拯救［or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation］。

7 我們為你們所存的盼望是確定的，因為知道你們既是同受苦楚，也必同得安慰。

8 弟兄們，我們不要你們不曉得，我們從前在亞細亞遭遇苦難，被壓太重，力不能勝，甚至連活命的指望都絕了；

9 自己心裏也斷定是必死的，叫我們不靠自己，只靠叫死人復活的神。

10 他曾救我們脫離那極大的死亡，現在仍要救我們，並且我們深信［trust］他將來還要救我們。

11 你們以祈禱幫助我們，好叫許多人為我們謝恩，就是為我們因許多人所得的恩。

12 我們所喜樂［rejoicing］的，是自己的良心，見證我們憑著純一［simplicity］和虔誠［godly sincerity］，在世為人，不靠肉體［fleshly］的聰明，乃靠神的恩典［grace］，向你們更是這樣。

13 我們現在寫給你們的話，並不外乎你們所念的，所認識的，我也相信［trust］你們到底還是要認識；

14 正如你們已經有幾分認識我們，以我們為喜樂［rejoicing］，好像我們在我們主耶穌的日子，以你們為喜樂［rejoicing］一樣。

15 我既然這樣深信，就早有意到你們那裏去，叫你們再得益處；

16 也要從你們那裏經過，往馬其頓去，再從馬其頓回到你們那裏，叫你們給我送行往猶太去。

17 我有此意，豈是輕率而定［lightness］嗎？我所起的意，豈是按肉體［according to the flesh］起的，叫我忽是忽非嗎？

18 我指著信實的神說，我們向你們所傳的道，並沒有是而又非的。

19 因為我和西拉並提摩太，在你們中間所傳神的兒子耶穌基督，總沒有是而又非的，在他只有一是。

20 凡［all］神所應許的［promises］，在他［him］都是是的，所以在［in］他也都是阿們［Amen］的，叫神因我們得榮耀。

21 那在基督裏堅固我們和你們，並且膏了［hath anointed］我們的就是神；

22 他又用印印了我們，並賜靈［Spirit］在我們心裏作憑據［earnest］。

23 並且我呼求［Moreover I call］神給我的心作見證，我還［as yet］沒有往哥林多去是為要寬容你們。

24 我們並不是為［for］轄管你們的信心，乃是幫助你們快樂的［helpers of your joy］；因為你們憑信才站立得住。

3 願頌讚歸與我們的主耶穌基督的父神，就是發慈悲的父，賜各樣安慰的神。

11 你們以祈禱幫助我們，好叫許多人為我們謝恩，就是為我們因許多人所得的恩。

13 我們現在寫給你們的話，並不外乎你們所念的，所認識的，我也相信［trust］你們到底還是要認識；

14 As also2532 you have acknowledged1922 us in part,3313 that we are your5216 rejoicing,2745 even2509 as you also2532 are our's2257 in the day2250 of the Lord2962 Jesus.2424

14 正如你們已經有幾分認識我們，以我們為喜樂［rejoicing］，好像我們在我們主耶穌的日子，以你們為喜樂［rejoicing］一樣。

15 And in this5026 confidence4006 I was minded1014 to come2064 to you before,4386 that you might have2192 a second1208 benefit;5485

18 我指著信實的神說，我們向你們所傳的道，並沒有是而又非的。
